Description
Some objects earn their place on a workbench twice — once when they are cut, and once when they are finished. The Diamond 1 earns it both times. The hide begins its life in a traditional vegetable tannery, spending weeks submerged in progressively stronger bark liquor until the fibres are dense, firm, and completely stable. What comes out is leather in its most elemental form — the colour of unbleached linen, slightly translucent at the edges, with a surface grain so tight you can feel individual pores under your thumb. Not a drop of dye has been introduced. The wallet you receive today will not look like the wallet you carry in two years, and that is entirely the point. Ten card pockets are distributed evenly across the interior, each one cut with enough depth to secure the card fully while still allowing a clean one-finger push to eject it. The cash compartment is deliberately oversized — wide enough to take folded A4 documents or a stack of mixed-denomination notes without creasing the corners. Stitching runs in a single unbroken line around the full perimeter using hand-rolled waxed thread, each stitch pulled to equal tension by hand. Edges are finished raw, then burnished in slow circular passes until the cross-section seals smooth and glassy. No shortcuts exist in this build because none were planned for.
